Donate to preserve our history today

We’re in this together. When you donate to the Mazer Lesbian Archives you join a dedicated community collecting, protecting and preserving lesbian and feminist history. Our donors sustain our work. Your gift ensures that our lesbian and feminist history is never lost or stolen again. Each gift, even small ones, helps us better serve the community as a whole.

Become a Monthly Donor

The Mazer Giving Circle funds ongoing collection and preservation efforts. You empower us by providing assistance throughout the year.

Make a One-Time Gift

Gifts, like lesbians, come in many different shapes and sizes. Your One-Time Gift will make a difference today and help provide the resources we need.

Leave a Legacy

A Legacy Gift ensures you have all of your resources during your lifetime. Then your legacy will have an impact for generations to come.

Legacy Gifts

A Legacy Gift ensures you have all of your resources during your lifetime. Then your legacy helps support the Mazer after you are gone. When you include June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives in your will or estate plan, you ensure that your contribution lives on.

You can make a Gift to the Mazer through your Will or Trust (please note the Mazer does not have to be the sole beneficiary).

You can name the Mazer as a Beneficiary of your IRA or qualified retirement plan, insurance policy, or bank account.

 Material Donations

Everything in the Mazer Lesbian Archives has been donated from the community. Please consider donating materials as we recognize there are historical holes within our collection and are continually expanding to reflect the variety and diversity of lesbians everywhere.

What are we looking for? We are collecting unique, personal, one-of-a-kind items including letters, diaries, photos, home videos, community organization papers and any other materials that help tell our stories to future generations. We are not accepting books (mass produced, non-1st editions), furniture, large framed items, or duplicate publications or periodicals.

Before donating materials please contact us by phone (310) 659-2478 or email to arrange pick up or drop off.

Volunteer at the Mazer

Volunteer Your Time, Energy and Expertise to Make a Difference!

Our volunteers are essential and fundamental to who we are as an organization. As a 501 (c) (3), the Mazer has relied upon and benefited from countless volunteers over our 45+ year history. The easiest way to get acquainted with the Mazer is by reaching out and scheduling a time to simply stop by the Archive or you by attending one of our upcoming events.

Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday at the Archives or on the weekend for our events. As a Mazer volunteer activities vary from sorting material donations and photographing objects to event planning and preparations and collaborating with partner organizations and groups on projects and everything in between.

Come for the lively conversation, sense of community, and thrill of discovery. Your participation will make a difference in other women’s lives and in the archiving of lesbian history.

If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer, introduce yourselves to us in email and let us know what you are interested in! We’d love to meet you.

If you are a Researcher, please fill out the Research Visit Form here and let us know in advance so we can prepare things for your visit.
