THE MAZER TShirts

The Mazer has hundreds of t-shirts from organizations, lesbian and feminist groups, activists, women and music festivals, and from some of the first women in men’s fields.

THE MAZER BUTTONS

The Mazer has many buttons in the collection which include the Gay Games, marches, political, Wendy Averill, women (non-lesbian) and many other miscellaneous buttons.

UCLA LIBRARY COLLECTION

The Mazer has recently digitized our subject files which are widely used by researchers because of their vast contents spanning all of the LGBTQ Community. They are now hosted online by UCLA.

Bunny MacCulloch Scrapbook 1974-1979

This disbound scrapbook documents the personal lives of Nancy 'Bunny' MacCulloch and Rita Charette, a lesbian couple living in Los Angeles, between 1974 and 1977.

Bunny worked on preserving lesbian history until her death in 1989, going so far as to record a tape days before her death detailing her wishes and work to be done by Mazer volunteers.

The JoAnn Semones albums

The collection is made up of over 3000 photographs, spanning from the 1940s to the early 2010s. These photos tell the story of JoAnn and Julie’s lives.

Ardy Tibby Audio Collection

Tibby’s collection of audio cassettes includes demo music, storytelling performances, oral histories, and conversations that capture lesbian life during the height of the second wave feminist movement in the United States.

Sisterhood Bookstore Videos

The bookstore was a central gathering place for lesbian, feminist, and LGBTQ2+ communities spanning the 70s through the 90s. Videos include performances, readings, and appearances from Angela Davis, Eloise Klein Healy, Gloria Steinem, bell hooks, and Rep. Maxine Waters.
