The next book for the Mazer’s lesbian history-themed book club is Borderlands / La Frontera: The New Mestiza by Gloria Anzaldúa!
You can RSVP here.
The Mazer is committed to facilitating critical and nuanced discussions of all works selected for the book club. For Borderlands specifically, the book club discussion will engage with critiques of anti-blackness and anti-indigeneity.
The goal of this book club is to foster a welcoming, intergenerational, and inclusive space. Racism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated in the space.
📣 Please note that there will also be a special event following the book club at Alana’s Coffee Roasters from 4pm-7pm. See the Mazer’s instagram for more details! 📣
*You do NOT need to attend the book club to join the after hours event at Alana’s*
‼️ DOORS OPEN AT 1:55PM AND CLOSE AT 2:05PM. PLEASE DON’T BE LATE ‼️
