Simone Wallace was co-founder of the Sisterhood Bookstore, an independent bookstore specializing in books by and about women. The bookstore operated for 27 years spanning subjects including poetry, Chicana lit, political and social theory, lesbian lit, childbirth, aging, spirituality, sexual violence resources, women’s fiction, non-sexist children’s’ books, and much more.
